Groton activities: varsity basketball, Active Minds, Groton Community Engagement, Student Activities Committee, Diversity & Inclusion, Imagine Scholar, peer counselor

Most surprising when you first arrived at Groton: In my first few months as a Third Former (freshman) on the Circle, I found how quickly my form bonded in the dorm's outer common rooms most surprising. Our preferred common room, decorated with a TV and a ping-pong table, helped foster a community.

Favorite class: My Algebra 2 class. I always found discussions with my classmates engaging. From conversations about imaginary numbers to Eulerian Cycles, I quickly came to look forward to the class.

Most memorable Groton moment: With the departure of senior friends, the Prize Day of my Third Form year earns the title of my most memorable Groton moment. I was happy to reflect upon my time with the seniors but sad to say goodbye; the mix made for a bittersweet day.

Favorite Dining Hall food: Chicken fingers with honey mustard

Favorite place to study: The Dining Hall during off-hours

Fast forward to our arrival in Ollantaytambo, our nineteen-day-long experience had begun.

Fun Events in the Boston Area

“Let’s do something fun today.” If anyone were to have walked into the room after my friend uttered that sentence, they would have encountered two teens hunched over their phones. We were scouring the internet for “fun events in the Boston area.” Luckily, we found a gold mine of a website—the Boston Calendar for those curious—that supplied us with most of the day’s itinerary.
